At Kingsbridge, we will help you to achieve your ambition of becoming a teacher. We have an outstanding track record and a 100 per cent employment rate.
To become a trainee teacher at Kingsbrige, you’ll need a degree in a relevant subject area - at least 2(ii).
Secondary School trainees will also need GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or higher.
Primary School trainees must also have all the above and a GCSE (or equivalent) in Science at Grade C or higher.
Ideal candidates will also have experience of working in a primary or secondary school. If you are interested, we can help you achieve this through volunteer placements within our network of schools.
If You Don’t Have The Grades…
If you do not have the GCSE grades you need to follow a particular training course, don't worry. You can still get a place at Kingsbridge by completing an Equivalency Test.
You can do this at lots of different places. Go to: www.equivalencytesting.co.uk to find out more.
If you choose this route, any offer of a place at Kingsbridge will be conditional to you achieving your Equivalency Test.
Don't have a degree in the secondary subject that you wish to teach? We can also offer Subject Knowledge Enhancements courses for applicants who meet the criteria.
All trainees must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to ensure their suitability for working with children.
